Rapidly taken notes from Erich Fromm’s To Have or to Be.
Two main premises of modern western society
1) That the aim of life is happiness, that is, maximum pleasure, defined as the satisfaction of any desire or subjective need person may feel.
2) That egotism, selfishness and greed, as the system needs to generate them in order to function leads to harmony and peace.

A month of making unresolved experimental pieces has started to allow more clarity as my thoughts focus and a deadline approaches.
